Does being popular mean you're better than the rest?

By Oscar Payne

This is a very interesting question. Most of the people think that there is everything good in popularity. Many kids are dreaming about becoming popular. But does it really mean better? Is it all it is cracked up to be? Many popular people will tell you that it isn't. They do not know who their real friends are, and some of the most popular people that you know are very lonely. There is a lot of stress involved too. Many compare it to living under a microscope.

Of course popularity has many good advantages too. It's good when you are well known and popular in your community. Still, a person's popularity does not define who they are. For a person who becomes popular it can at first be very exciting and filling. After a while it can just become downright stressful. This is not the meaning or the purpose in life at all.

Popularity is not bad but it is not easy either. For example a public figure has to be fit, have security, in addition to deal with the paparazzi along with the tabloids. Many times popular people may find that they have almost no time for their loved ones, friends and then for what is most important not excluding themself. Whenever a person results in being popular the individual's activities as well as their personal life seems to be on display.

It may seem just like everyone will try to get gossip not just about the person's life in present but from their own life in the past as well. Relationships may unravel, along with friends may end up being lost. Additionally, you may end up being hurt by people that you thought you might have confidence in however could not. Then there is jealousy involved also. Often popularity is just not worth the price that one needs to pay to attain the status. Almost everything ought to be moderate, along with excessive just isn't great.

Regardless of whether popularity may end up being good will depend upon precisely how the individual themselves handles the specific situation. Sometimes it is not others but one's self that's destructive or untrustworthy. Using popularity being a weapon isn't great, and practically nothing good can keep coming back to that individual. In the event that you find yourself gaining in statute don't hurt other people. Don't leave the good friends who were there for you whenever you were just an ordinary person with an everyday life. Never forget where you come from, because life has a humorous method of reminding you whenever you do.
